There are various vitamins and minerals that are quite effective against acne. Of course, all of them can be helpful to some extent; but some of them are more useful against acne.   • Vitamin A: This is an effective vitamin that can be used against acne. The proper dosage of Vitamin A can help prevent acne and it can also help stop its effects. It is recommended to be used in both pill and topical form.
  • Vitamin B: Actually this is not a single vitamin, but it is a group of vitamins. Especially Vitamin B5 and B12 are very effective against acne. In general all B group vitamins are quite effective; but recent research shows that Vitamin B5 is essential in reversing the effects of the acne. It has been shown that it restores balance to your skin and Vitamin B5 also creates conditions that make acne causing bacteria hard to live on your skin.   • Vitamin C: This vitamin is essential for our immune system. By taking Vitamin C, your immune system will be boosted and the bacteria that cause acne can be neutralized by your own immune system.
  • Vitamin E: This vitamin is instrumental in reversing the skin damage caused by acne. It can be taken in a pill form and it can also be taken as a topical cream. You can rub it on acne affected areas every day, and it can help restore your skin elasticity and it will stimulate the skin cells into repairing themselves.

Using Supplements and Acne

Thus using anti oxidant supplements can be helpful against acne. Of course you will still need to use cleansing solutions and acne creams but these supplements can help considerably. Besides vitamins you can also take minerals like zinc and selenium which are also helpful to treat acne.
